Copyrights and Politics

In Wednesdays show we talked about the Pirate Party. They have some pretty radical ideas about reforming copyright. I want to know what you think, are they right? Have they gone too far? Or have they not gone far enough?

I think the piracy flag is going to be tricky for them.
But as an ainternational movement people do understand the idea that they are being made pirates for things which used to be legal, so in that respect their approach is successful. The progress made below in Peru is just one of their teams.

What: The Peruvian Pirate Party is the political branch of Cultura Libre. We
have got two sits in The Commission for the Development of the Information
Society (CODESI). The Commission for the Development of the Information Society
(CODESI) was established in June 2003 and is in charge of elaborating a Plan
and activities to develop the Information Society in Peru. This Commission is
composed by representatives from government, civil society, academic
institutions and private sector.
