FOSSCasts

What is FOSSCasts.org?

FOSSCasts.org is a site that will host a range of different audio/video programmes relating to Free and Open Source Software, as well as other areas that take advantage of FOSS in production and licensing.

Why?

Cos.

No seriously, this site is intended to act as a focal point for those who are seeking FOSS related programming, as well as those who wish to explore different ways of producing media.

What can we expect from FOSSCasts.org?

To begin with, FOSSCasts.org will be hosting the OSOTA series of programmes. Modelled on the Open Source On The Air programme currently in production, the new shows will focus on the different continental regions.

Here's a list of proposed projects:

  • Open Source On The Air (INSERT GEOGRAPHIC REGION HERE):
We plan to expand the reach of our current Open Source On The Air programme by creating different versions for different geographic regions (Middle East, Western Europe, etc, etc). These programmes will be hosted by people within those regions and will focus on regional issues, people and events.
  • Other Podcasts Of Interest:
As well as the OSOTA series of programmes we are in the process of sourcing new programmes relating to FOSS. These will include distro specific casts, language and general interest.
  • OSOTA TV:
OSOTA TV is a massive project that is in a very, very early stage of development. The basic concept is an online video network of programmes, professionally produced by different communities.
