Open Source On The Air - Episode 16

RSS: MP3 | OGG Files: MP3 | OGG

This fortnight we continue with our Round Table format, this time looking at Open Source Graphics. I am joined by Andy Fitzsimons, Janet Hawtin and Pascal Klein in a wide ranging discussion about the growing FOSS Graphics community and the tools that they use.

Karin once again brings us up to date with whats happening in the LUGs around the region as well as touching on the upcoming BarCamp events.

A follow up post

Some people have been asking for links to some of the things that were discussed on the roundtable so here we go:

The Open Clip Art project : This is a huge repository of CC and public domain images.

Elephants Dream : The proof of concept short film from a group of blender developers and artists.

Accessibility Discussion With Luke Yelavich : In a previous episode of Open Source On The Air, I had a good talk with Luke about the state of play with regards to accessibility in the FOSS world.

Copyright Cards : This is the deck of cards put together by Janet to explain the various permutations of the world of copyright in an easy to understand form. I'm still waiting for a link.
